So. This kid, right, who no one's fucking heard of whose gonna be the next doctor? I looked at his BBC report and it says he was in the National Theatre.

Okay. I'm sold. You really dont need to try and convince me anymore.

I saw half a dozen shows at the National when I was in London and every single person in every single show was fucking exquisite. They dont take non-talented people there. They just dont.

So good luck to you 11. I'm trusting that you wont disappoint me.

So, a year ago, tickets for the RSC production of Hamlet and Love's Labours Lost went up for sale and my amazing friend [livejournal.com profile] antigone921 acted as my proxy and got me a ticket to each. I went this past weekend, spent the weekend in Stratford and gah. You guys? Gah!

So, what I didnt know was that freaking Patrick Stewart was going to be in the production with David Tennant. PATRICK STEWART! RIGHT THERE! BIG AS LIFE!

So lets start with Hamlet and the play itself and then I'll babble about David.

Hamlet - lots of talk with PICTURES of David looking fabulous )

~*~*~*~

Now! Saturday night was Love's Labours Lost.

Love's Labours Lost - lots of talk with just the one picture )

~*~*~

All of this was done while staying in a lovely hotel up the street with Paul. I adore him. Sunday we walked around Straford and went into the church where Shakespeare's buried and just generally did touristy things.

So....that was my weekend. What'd you guys do?

So, class today was strange and kind of...weird throughout. My Victorian Lit class sort of deteriorated into an oddly organized kind of anarchy that can only happen in a literature class. Jokes about significant form were told. There were some giggles. It was strange. And I got my grade back on the paper i wrote with the 102 degree fever. 8/15. That's an F for those of you playing at home. I swear if I get a C in that class I'll be happy.

Anyway, so its a Tuesday so of course, that means I have to go to a play. I was running late so I'm hurrying but as I am walking down this tunnel to the theater, I see this absolutely STUNNING Indian woman walking the opposite direction. A strangely *familiar* woman. I think its the heavy coat and gloves that really clinch the recognition for me. She was all bundled up the last time I saw her too.

And being me, I stop her.

"Excuse me, ma'am? Sorry, but were you in an episode of Doctor Who?"

She grins at me. "Yes, I was."

"Oh! You were on the Ood planet! You were the guest relations lady!"

Still smiling. "Yes."

"You were fantastic. It was a great episode and I loved you in it!"

"Oh, thank you so much." She holds out her hand and I shake it. She squeezes my hand and then nods at me. "It's lovely to meet you."

"You too!"

And then I scurry off to my play, which I get to about 2 minutes before they close the doors. And yeah, I cant really tell anyone that I've just met Ayesha Dharker. No one's going to know who I mean. I mean, seriously, can I not step out of my flat without bumping into someone i know from TV or film?!?!?! I hope the answer continues to be no.

Anyway, the play was nice - a bit to much mathiness but it was gorgeously orchestrated. And I come out of the crazy lovely play....and guys? It was SNOWING.

AH! SNOW! And not bitchy wuss flakes. REAL snow. Heavy and coating the cars and making the little park outside the Barbican look frosted.

I may have stood out in the snow and twirled around and around a few times. And I might have squeed a little. But just a LITTLE!

Yeah, this time is amazing.

Btw? Next post? Recap of Hamlet and Love's Labour's Lost. Honest.

So, many moons ago, I made a slightly bitchy post begging for someone, anyone to help me spruce up my tired ass layout. It was tired ass. It needed sprucing. I was waiting to see if I couldnt harass [livejournal.com profile] ashley enough to get her to do it for me. Yeah, I know. Longshot, especially if you know her at all. She is made of lazy but I love her. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Lol

Anyway, then, in comes [livejournal.com profile] faith_wicked, who, without me even asking, makes me this GORGEOUS black and blue Doctor Who layout. Now, I'm a HUGE 10/Rose shipper. Die hard, till the end of time 10 Rose. But...this layout? Its 10. Its Martha. Its the Tardis. And despite my shipper loyalties? ITS FREAKING AWESOME! OMG I am squeeing so hard over here its insane. And look! My tags are all right there on the side, all easy to get too and stuff! And I can actually see my icons for each post! It makes me want to go back and mix it up a bit. Wanna see it?

[livejournal.com profile] dancinbutterfly,[livejournal.com profile] dancinbutterfly, or if you feel like living dangerously...[livejournal.com profile] dancinbutterfly

Thank you [livejournal.com profile] faith_wicked. My Livejournal is freaking stunning. I love it.
