!!!!YULETIDE!!!!

OH MAN YOU GUYS YULETIDE! This is my first Yuletide in two years and I wrote things! I was gifted things! Let me show you them. ♥_♥ First my prezzies ♥_♥  )

Also, I wrote. I wrote for the first time in a very long time and the things I wrote were deeply telling of where my head's at lately. They were all churned out in under three hours(not counting betaing/edits/rewrites) in bursts of creativity I havent experienced since I went back to working full time. They're real shorts and I'm exceedingly proud of all of them. I did something original with them, things that I've never done before even if it was just trying a new fandom so, if its okay I'm going to talk about process and stuff. I havent had a chance to do that in ages and all of the stories are under 3,000 words so they're good places to do it.

1)Title: Zack Don't Surf
For: queenofinsanity6
Fandom: World War Z - Max Brooks
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Pairing: OFC/OMC
Summary: Pensacola Beach, Florida: An interview with one of the founding members of The Santa Rosa Island Surf Patrol, the first prevention unit to use surfboards as a means to police and prevent zombies emerging from the Gulf of Mexico from reaching the shore.
My Offical Yuletide Fandom Assignment was World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War (the book, not the movie - they don't even compare). If you havent read it, it's basically Shoah for a fictional war. Survivors of the war all over the world share their stories with an interviewer who is recording them so that they're not lost to time - the same way Shoah records the first-person stories of Holocaust survivors. So now that you know the source, time to talk fic.

First off - the name. I havent been so damn proud of a title in AGES. Zack is what the people in the book call zombies much like American soldiers in the Vietnam conflict called the Vietcong soldiers Charlie. If you've ever seen Apocalypse Now - arguably the best Vietnam flick ever(arguably - my favorite though)- you know that there is a big emphasis on surfing in the movie revolving around Robert Duvall as a slightly crazy Lt. Col. Kilgore, notable for the line "I love the smell of Napalm in the morning...smells like victory" whose whole platoon were surf-happy. His whole troop are in the middle of an active battle and he decides, hey, time to surf! Six foot swells! The protest is that Charlie owns the point but Kilgore declares "Charlie don't surf!" Same concept here only zombies instead of communist Vietnamese. Yeah. I love it. So much. It just feels right given the content is a surf patrol for zombies that move through water and need to be stopped. I'm genuinely proud of it.

The rest of it was less easy as I spent ages trying to figure out what the actual fuck to do with this. Ages. I couldn't figure it out. Then, literally the day of the deadline it hit me like a storm surge wave - this a fandom built on personal survivor accounts so in order to write something for this fandom I had to go to my own survivor account. If you've been following me for any length of time, you know that I had my personal war with living in Florida and Tallahassee played a roll in the books as a relative safe zone so I figured - fuck it. I'll write what I know. Isnt that what everyone always says? I grew up in the location I used and lived their until I went to college and then on all my breaks. You know want to see some shit go to my tags and click hurricane, real life, family, or go to my very first posts where i talk about updating from my then boyfriends desktop because I was homeless due to housing destruction. It's not an exaggeration when I say my peer group were devastated before we were ably to leave that area. 9/11 opened our high school experience, two wars filled our middle years, and devastating hurricanes closing out our adolescence. Now my peers are dropping like flies. Literally every single character in Zack Don't Surf is named after someone from my graduating class who is now dead.

The story started with a male voice and a fabricated name but I stalled and deleted it. I felt that it was in keeping with the truth of WWZ to share my own losses through the narrative so thats what I did. Jenna, my protagonist, is not living my life. Her trauma is not my trauma but the places she went and love are the places I went and love and the keen sense of loss is my own. I left a large chunk of my heart on the page in Zack Don't Surf. If you want to take a look at my heart as it relates to the place that will always feel like home, even when I have a new place that feels like home, you should go read this one. I havent been truly proud of something I wrote in a long time. It was an experiment in epistolary/interview format to fit the book style and I think it worked. I'd love to know what yall think too. Also if you have any questions about the area - the culture, the lay out of the the Pensacola area, the Navy presence and its effect on the city, my personal experiences, or anything else please ask. I welcome them.

2)Title: Dominic and Submission
For: Opalsong
Fandom: The Fast and the Furious (2001), Fast and the Furious Series
Rating: Mature
Warning: Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Pairing: Brian O'Conner/Dominic Toretto
Summary: Brian has hidden his submissive orientation most of his life out of necessity more than desire and he's been fine. Really. Until he meets Dominic Toretto then fine doesn't really fit the situation anymore. A BDSM-universe AU of The Fast and the Furious.
This was an Emergency Pinch Hit. It came out at the very last minute and was written in about an hour of glorious inspiration. I haven't written like that in months. It was beautiful and clear and bright. It was also nice to be able to contribute at the 11th hour rather than sliding in at the last minute for once.

This is also Baby's first BDSM-universe. I've been trying to write one of these for ages and for some reason this one just exploded out of me. Unlike the other ones I've read where submissive or dominant dynamic is tied to sexuality, I decided to equate it closer to a cisgender. Because of that, Brian being in hiding is less about him hating who he is and more about making choices he needs to in order to get by. I'm just so tired of D/s and ABOverses where the submissive or omega hates BEING submissive or omega - hates the very nature of who they are and fight it tooth and nail to the point of where if it is in fact equated with gender(which it is most often in ABO) it would equate with gender dysphoria and yet never treated as such. I also learned about Dr. James Barry aka the first female doctor who lived her entire life as a man around the same time as I wrote this which is where part of the idea came from. It made me think about the fact that sometimes there are reasons not to live as who you are but that doesn't mean you have to hate it. You can like who you are and hate the system or prejudices or dangers that make you need to had that while still valuing your own identity. I don't know if Dr. Barry felt that way but the idea of hiding your cisgender to pursue your dream to due so made me think about this stuff. So, this was an experiment in the difference between hiding and hating. With elements of desire and sexiness thrown in. Then I left the ending open which is something I almost never do. That was rough for me, giving myself permission to just walk away with the door ajar but it was *right* and I have to believe learning how to do that means I'm growing as a writer, doesn't it?

This is also one of the first time's I've gotten a request for a sequel from pretty much every single commenter. I think maybe one person didn't ask. That's new. EVERYONE asked I'm thrown quite frankly. I didnt think it'd cause that strong a reaction. But it did. So, I may be doing a rewatch of the movies because there are definitely elements of the dynamic world I want to explore.

3)Title: Killing To Save Lives Is Like Screwing for Virginity
For: ijemanja, raedbard, 100indecisions
Fandom The Cabin in the Woods (2011)
Rating: Mature
Warning: Suicide, Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Major Character Death
Pairing: Gen
Summary: He is no Fool and she is no Virgin. Dana knows that doesn't mean the world has to end. Marty doesn't know how the world will go on.
There are major major spoilers in this one so I'm going to put it behind a cut but I hope you click it. They have to choose. )

So, that's my Yuletide. I think it might be more telling than a What I've Done Recently post could be but I am going to do one of those too.

So, this is my third year bandom anniversary. It's not the exact day but back in 2009, the Monday after Comiccon I read my first MCR fanfic sitting at the Richard Walker Pancake House in San Diego California and my life started to change. It's the monday after ComicCon and once again, I'm in the Richard Walker Pancake House, taking stock of the year and listening to bandom.

You guys have no idea how big an impact this fandom had on me this year. The friends I made through this fandom held me up through some of the worst times of my life. The MCR and PATD concerts and the music. The music you guys.

In October, I ended up on a locked psychiatric ward for 7 days. One of the rules was no music. However, one of the female CNAs brought her ipod and speaker and she gave it to me for half an hour. I put on I'm Not Okay, Helena, Famous Last Words and Welcome to the Black Parade, curled up in my shitty hospital room and cried with relief at finally, finally finally being able to reach out and have my band to comfort me in the grim silence where people would scream at night and sob during the day.

Knowing that Pete and Mikey both have bipolar helped me push through treatment for the last 9 months of long term treatment. They've been my heroes, reminding me that people like me can lives like that if they try.

When my foster sister killed herself in May, Welcome to the Black Parade and Helena helped me grieve for her, helped me scream and sob until I could think and feel and breathe again.

Through all of this I spent hours and hours on chat or twitter with bandom friends who held me up against the crushing weight of the struggles and fights I've faced this year.

I'm discharging from my treatment center in the next few weeks. I feel mostly whole. It wasnt all bandom but it'd be a fucking lie to say that the music and the people in bandom didnt save my life at least in part.

My life isn't a symptom anymore and I plan to keep running.

Thanks guys. I love you.

You wont regret it.
-[livejournal.com profile] guest_age got me Scott Pilgrim vs The World because its the best comic movie ever made. I'm sorry Batman/Xmen/Avengers people. All of those are awesome, but they're not as quirky and perfect as Scott Pilgrim - which even has Captain America IN IT! Magical!

♥My little sister Hillary is in town. This is stressful as hell but also good? I love her a lot but dear god she makes me so tired and wears me out because she is a difficult human being. She is funny and fascinating but difficult. Wouldn't be the holidays without that would it? However she did get me THE CUTEST LAPTOP BAG IN ALL OF THE LAND THAT HAS A NEON PINK KITTY ON IT and a sparkly Hello Kitty case for my droid with the British flag on it. Both items are SUPER CUTE and you can see them here. ) Yeah. My sister won at Hannukah in my family this year. Lol.

♥Graduation! Turns out, my paperwork never made it to FSU so technically I havent graduated yet - even though I walked in August. So, my superwoman-levels-of-awesome ally in the Dean of Undergraduate Students office pulled some strings and moved some papers and now the Official Paperwork has me graduating university in January of 2012. Do you know what this means? It means that when I apply for jobs, I dont have to account for why there's a massive gap in my work from October to Whenever I finish my psychiatric treatment. I wasnt working because I hadnt graduated yet! BEST! HANNUKAH PRESENT! OF ALL!

So. Um, how are yall?

Today was my last day of my treatment at Ridgeview. I was a little nostalgic to be perfectly honest. I was there for 6 weeks and it involved a LOT of work on some seriously big picture stuff. But I'm done there and found out three hours ago that I'm heading over to a new hospital called Skyland Trail. This is AWESOME because Skyland does things very differently than Ridgeview. At Ridgeview there was a high volume of group/talk therapy and an incredibly large volume of lectures. Skyland is putting me on a program with something called Dialectical Behavior Therapy(I dont know what that really means either) and structured practical and recreational therapy options. So on top of group talk therapies and meeting with doctors there will be the option of exercise therapy, art therapy, music therapy, nutritional therapy, horticultural therapy even - on top of the group style stuff and meeting with doctors. This is super awesome and I'm really excited because it should help me...actually do the things I need to do to live an active and healthy life. So, things are looking extremely good from here over my long weekend. It feels awesome to make a POSITIVE post about my mental health you guys.

So in celebration - THAT AWESOME DOMESTIC MEME! Feel free to ask for multiple pairings and also feel free to ask for any couple you've heard me talk about including fic-specific versions of pairings!. (Suggestions of available fandoms: Bandom, Haven, Entourage, The OC, Venture Bros Fringe, Dexter, Farscape, anyone mentioned in the pairing guessing meme, and anything else you know I've talked about positively)

Name a pairing that you know I like and I will tell you:

who is the big spoon/little spoon
what is their favorite non-sexual activity
who uses all the hot water in the morning
what they order from take out
what is the most trivial thing they fight over
who does most of the cleaning
what has a season pass in their DVR
who controls the netflix queue
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working
who steals the blankets
who leaves their stuff around
who remembers to buy the milk
who remembers anniversaries

I will post about it. I really will. But it's late and I fell asleep on the floor of the venue tonight(and at the restaurant, and in the car) so I'm off to bed on the couch. :D I cant wait to tell yall about it. Whoo, I actually got back to this! I had to wait for Youtube to make the leap from 10 minute limits to 15. I also had to wait for my brain to stop spinning, and take my finals, and move out of my apartment, drive five hours from Tallahasse to Atlanta and figure out how to work Windows Movie Maker but finally! More Saturday!

Saturday was a crazy day you guys. A crazy day that started at 5 in the AM where I actually got up and blew my hair dry and put in my contacts because hey, you never know who you could run into(and you could get your freaking picture thrown up all over the interwebs *sigh) and trotted the mile-ish through San Diego to the convention center to wait in line for the Spotlight on Gerard Way panel. Oh yeah. Loyalty. Less than some though because by the time I got there Jessa, who I met in line the day before, was already there. And had been since 4. Clearly she loves GWay more than me, i needed those 2 hours. But yay, new friends! Thats one of my favorite things about ComicCon, the random new people you meet and get to know standing in line together for four hours. For there are no friends like stuck-together-for-hours friends. I actually dont remember everyone's name, but this group? We are the ladies who got in line at the ass-crack of dawn. So naturally, we had to have a group photo! ) After said picture I ran to get hot chocolate because I hadn't actually eaten that day and the in-convention center Starbucks stands didnt open until 9. I know. Travesty. Also, I had a nosebleed (I’ve been getting them since I was 8 years old and once they get started, they keep popping up) and had to take care of that and my beverage before I could go back to the room.

Anyway, I got back before the first panel which was a Marvel Comics panel. It wasn't my main event but I still have a bit of babble about it. )

That panel was good but I dont actually remember much of that panel. It's kind of hard to focus when you're less than an hour from Gerard Way climbing up to talk to us all. And talk he did. A lot. He was there with Gabriel Ba - who is completely lovely and his accent is ADORABLE - and Scott Allie his editor who is interesting but gave me a weird vibe? IDK. IT was hard to care when there was a Gerard. I mostly got video - its not completely complete but most of the missing questions werent directed at Gerard anyway. So! For your viewing pleasure - roughly 40ish minutes of the Spotlight on Gerard Way panel. Its split into 5 youtube videos but damnit, I got it up! )

Also, um, a few pictures from when people asked Gabriel questions. Speaking of, I kind of love Gabriel Ba, but more on that later. First, pictures! )Gah. He's darling. How is he so damn darling? I dont know. I also do not recall why he felt the need to wear his sunglasses inside. I think he mentioned it in the panel but I cant remember and havent watched the video through so I dont know but he did. He's ridiculous that way. It works well with the "I quit my job as an accountant to try and be a surfer in southern California even though I dont really tan and dont know how to surf" look he's got going. ♥

And then the panel ended and Tyrone(Gerard's coordinator who was actually staying in my hotel and who I ended up becoming friendly with - but that's later) ushered him into a back curtained off area where Lindsey was waiting for him. I caught a glimpse of her through the curtain and was like "right, there are probably others here" which I proved to be right about.

I pretty much hung back and took creepy ass pictures of Mikey talking to people because hey, he is unbelievably hot and there needs to be more photographs of him in existence on planet earth. Seriously, when I was showing the SDCC pictures my roommate this summer, other!Rachel, I got to a picture featuring Mikey and she goes "Who is he? He's fucking hot." She couldnt tell you what MCR was if you hit her in the face with the Black Parade special edition. So, yeah, even civilians recognize his yumminess. Alicia seemed to take the same route, hanging back by the wall and I actually opened my mouth and talked to her a little bit - asked if they'd gotten to see the Walking Dead set yet because the Way clan seems to be be zombie fans and she was like "Not yet but we're going back to the floor later" and then I sorta backed off and went back to watching her husband get thronged by fans with a vaguely amused express. I adore Alicia Way. She's just so freaking nice. Also, she wears her husbands clothes just cuz. Seriously, she's in his Journey shirt, I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] turps33 has a picture of him in it somewhere on her HD because I dont but I know I've seen him in it. And you know, they're fucking darling together. I want to be in love like this one day you guys, desperately. So, have some epic hottness on the part of Michael James Way and his lovely wife and also a few fans. )

Much to the frustration of the organizers, Mikey was all good with hanging around and signing shit for people and taking pictures. He's a gem that way. Ray was too although he seemed way more awkward with it than Mikey. As I was backing away from Alicia and Mikey, I turned around to come face to face with Ray fucking Toro. Just standing there. Hello Ray. What the hell are you doing here? I got all stuttery for a second because I was expecting another Way. I mean, brothers. But Ray? No. Neither he nor Mikey whom got the message that they were supposed to stay behind the curtain of the curtained-off area and were on the wrong side, hanging out waiting.

Can I just stop for a minute and say how fucking much I love the fact that Gerard's band shows up for this shit? They don't have to. IF they were just there for ComicCon, they could just be on the floor looking at stuff. But no, they're at his panel. Being supportive. ♥BAND♥.

I managed to actually open my mouth and speak around the same time Mikey headed back over. "Hi! You're amazing. The things you can do with a guitar, they're brilliant." And then I got a little half smile thing and he goes "Oh, thank you" for Ray is a very polite human being and also patient for he not only signed my little red notebook thing(where I had gotten Lindsey, Mikey, Alicia, Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick's autographs already) he let me grab a picture. He let me pause long enough to catch Mikey who was not with a fan at the moment and ask him to be in the picture too. I remember saying "sorry to bother you" or something like that. Alicia took that one. I remember being a tiny bit flustered but mostly like "OMG YAY" in my head because as you can see in the picture ) they both look very cool while I am grinning like an idiot. Whatever, I dont care. That actually happened in real life. \o/

Then Tyrone and the other organizers corralled them out the door because PLACES TO BE GUYS. THERE'S A SCHEDULE! They told the gathered fans that there'd be a signing later (which there was) and they could get shots and such then but you know what? BS. The signing was for Gerard, the rest of his posse (yes I said posse - what?!) were just there to support and also shop. I got a few stalker-azzi-esque shots in the hallway but if you're here? You probably want those shots. So, without further ado, more Mikey, Ray and one really vague picture of Lindsey through an open door over Tyrone's head. Seriously, that one I'm actually kind of pleased with how it turned out. It almost looks artistic, hee. Anywho, pictures! )

After the commotion died down, I headed downstairs to the exhibit floor to see if I won the raffle or not. On the way down, I stopped because I passed the most uncanny Dark Knight Joker cosplay I have ever seen. I had to stop and get a picture. ) He turned it on the minute I pointed the camera at him. He sold it so hard. Possibly tied for first place as my favorite cosplayer of the con with the girl!Doctor.

When I got downstairs, everyone who I'd been sitting with was already clustered around the white board with the winning raffle ticket numbers. The girl I was sitting with in the black dress and the girl with the fro hair from the Mikey pictures above(who had been taking care of her mother who was in a wheel chair the whole con and was probably karmically due for being an awesome daughter) had winning raffle tickets - for in order to get stuff signed by the bigger names you must get a raffle ticket and then win the raffle. If you won the raffle, a Dark Horse employee who was manning the raffle would give you a wristband. I did not win a wristband. So I hung around the Dark Horse booth because hey, maybe at the end of the signing someone who won wont have come back. Maybe someone wouldnt want their winning ticket(I dont know why anyone wouldnt, but I've LITERALLY SEEN IT HAPPEN. I dont even know). And hey, whatever, Gerard was going to be there. That'll be awesome anyway right? Right.

So I lingered and watched the girl controlling the wristbands, Kimberley according to her name tag, get pissed at people who were pestering her. She was doing her job so she wasnt going to give away spares. That's not how it works. Leave her alone or she'd call her security, seriously. Not cool. That was boys by the way. *sighs* Respect people who have to do a job you guys. It's their job. So I went over to where the signing was going to be (away from Kimberley) and got a shot before the line formed. Why did I do that? Because a possible cover for the third Umbrella Academy was mounted on the wall behind the signing table ) It's very creepy and awesome and it makes me curious. It also kind of reminds me of that episode of Gargoyles where Goliath and Matt had to get out of the Illuminati Madness Maze. If you know the one I'm talking about, we are meant to be best friends. Clearly. :D

I eventually wandered off to peruse the floor. I couldn’t tell you where I went. I have no idea. Somewhere nearby and not for very long. I spotted Westley Snipes (didn’t talk to him or anything, just spotted him and got a stalker pic) and there were more gladiators with fucking ridiculous chests and abs and arms. I only recall these things because I have photo evidence )But otherwise, total blur.

When I got back, people were cuing up so I clustered back towards the bit closest to the signing table so that I could get a clear glance at Gerard. That’s where I managed to get this picture )of Gerard pushing his ridiculously greasy hair back as they DH people told him how it was all going to work. How is he so adorable? No idea.

Anyway, I was feeling a little heartbroken that I wasn’t one of the people in that line to meet Gerard because, lets be honest, since my breakdown in May, him and Mikey’s stories about their own breakdowns, his music, and the people I’ve met because of it – have LITERALLY saved my life. Seriously. Point is, I’m lingering and starting to feel a little bad I’m shifting awkwardly around, trying not to be a creeper and I look to the left and oh my god, it’s freaking Jonathan Ross.

For those of you who are not from the UK or of the Anglophile persuasion, Jonathon Ross is one of the biggest, if not the biggest talk show hosts in the UK. Him and Graham Norton are the only ones big enough to make it over onto my American radar, at the very least. He’s also the guy who got Russell Brand into trouble awhile back. I blink twice because what the actual fuck that cannot be Jonathon Ross cutting through the Dark Horse booth with a bag full of stuff, only yes it totally is. Then, because I’m a total starfucker, I stopped him. I actually talked to him quite a bit so its under the cut. ) I asked him, as my camera was being bitchy and wouldn’t let me go from video mode back to photo mode, if I could maybe get some video of us just…talking, since I couldn’t get a picture. )

By the time all that was over the line for the Umbrella Academy signing had thinned to maybe 20 people, tops. The boys who were bothering Kimberly early had managed to get wrist bands. How? I don’t know. One of the guys, Harris (who had recognized me on a bus the day before from the Dark Horse panel and may actually be lurking reading this as he has an LJ too) said something about getting someone to do something? I don’t remember. It wasn’t clear. But he only had one thing to get signed so I gave him my notebook to get signed because, well, if I could get this then all I’d be missing of the current MCR line-up would be Frank Iero. Harris was really cool about it and said he would. I hung out in line with him and his friend for about ten minutes but as they got closer, I had to leave.

I was a little disheartened by this because, well, I got to thank Mikey the day before. I really wanted to thank Gerard too. I mean, signing, yeah, awesome. But I wanted to say thank you. Not because I thought he needed to hear it – I’m sure he doesn’t – but because with the mental illness rollercoaster I’ve been on this summer, I needed to say it.

So I took a deep breath and went over to where Kimberly the bothered-Dark-Horse-Employee-stuck-in-charge-of-the-raffle was sitting with the wristbands and said “Look, I know you’re not supposed to give the wristbands out. I don’t want you to get in trouble and I totally get it if you say ‘no’ but I had a really severe bought of depression hit me in May and the artist signing right now, him and his band helped me get help so I didn’t do something stupid like hurt myself. I just want to thank him for that so if there’s any left that people didn’t want or pick up, it’d mean so much to me, you don’t even know.” I got about half-way through telling her this before Kimberly was pulling a wrist-band off the sheet of them. I got incredibly twitchy then, because part of my neurosis is expecting people to think that I’m lying when I dare to ask for something and I was like “I swear to God, I’m not trying to play you. It really happened and-“ And she cuts me off, shaking her head. “No, its cool. I can tell you’re not lying.” How? I don’t know. I was too busy being grateful (I must have thanked her like seventeen times) and getting in line. I showed the guy who had made me leave the line early my wrist band, back to the people thinking I’m lying when I’m not thing, and made my way up with my copy of Dallas and tight twisted nerves.

There were only about three or four people in line behind me when I got to the signing table. Gabriel Ba was first. He was lovely. His accent is very thick but he was friendly and seemed thrilled to be there. Very charming, though I was so nervous I cant remember much of our conversation. I couldn’t find the Umbrella Academy page in the Dark Horse autograph book and I remember he took it from me to find it himself, a little amused by the whole thing.

Then I got to Gerard. I was fine at first but I'm fairly sure I'm fated to humiliate myself in front of one my heroes at each ComicCon. So I didnt really stay fine. ) All that aside, it was still worth it. At least I got to say thank you. Anyway Part 3 should be up tomorrow or Wednesday :D

So naturally, we had to have a group photo! ) After said picture I ran to get hot chocolate because I hadn't actually eaten that day and the in-convention center Starbucks stands didnt open until 9. dancinbutterfly: (Black Books - LOLLY)
Hi new friends. There's a few of you. Um, *waves*

Things you might like to know - I've been crazy lately. Like, actual crazy, not "haha bitch you crazy" crazy. I'm fighting some depression and have been hard-core basement!Gerard-ing it up lately. The new meds have me sleeping 10-14hrs a day so I'm sort of and when I'm not, real life is boring and pathological so mostly I'm trying to keep it off my LJ. The fic/fandom/tv/other shallow things are FAR more fun and therefore get far more of my attention and journal space. With any luck, I should stop being crazy soon. :D

On the upside, the depression diet has me weighing less than I have in about 5 years and! And I went out into public Saturday with [livejournal.com profile] ofangoriousone! We got noms and saw Despicable Me which was so sweet that my heart grew three sizes. I swear. It was just *sighs* I'm still melty just thinking about it. Anything that gives Russell Brand work is good by me - even if it isn't actually good - which this was. Very good. *sigh* My devotion, it's a fanatical thing. It really is.

Speaking of fanatical devition, wtf Ray Toro. The teasing us all thing, its not cool if you dont follow through. Stop toying with my heart, Toro! I'm fragile!

But ComicCon is coming you guys. I LEAVE NEXT WEEK! *spazzes out* Gah, I'm dreaming about it *clutches her tickets* All of my loves will be there - the True Blood people. The Fringe people. Neil Gaiman. Max Brooks. Possibly(probably?) Jim Butcher. Oh. Yeah. And Gerard motherfucking Way. I really need to reread the Umbrella Academy before I fly my ass to San Diego. And also find a video camera because my crappy digital camera aint gonna cut it this year.

Unfortunately, that require going outside, and re:bears. Bears are outside. And they're GODLESS KILLING MACHINES and the #1 threat to this nation.

Anyway, hi. I'm still here yall. I'm just super quiet lately. I'm working on it though and if you left me a comment I WILL get back to it soon. Promise.

*hugs you all*
